Moonlighting as a neurologist

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I did most of my moonlighting as a resident doing overnight admissions for a medicine service. Nothing to do with neurology, mostly ROMI. There is some stuff out there, like LP clinics and such. But a lot of the neurology that people want is legit consult staffing, which they want someone BC/BE to do.

I did in-house neurology moonlighting during residency. Moonlighting was only available for senior residents. We saw consults and did LPs. The consults were staffed the next day if the patients were still in the hospital. If we wanted to make a recommendation to discharge a patient from the ED, then we could, but we could also call the night staff to discuss the case.

Worked in a Doc-in-a-box (30 years ago,FWIW). I still remember the time I cured unilateral hearing loss by removing a big black cerumen encrusted cockroach from someone's ear!
