Moonlighting as AEGD Resident (licensure by residency)

I am completing my licensure in California by residency (AEGD) and was wondering if I can moonlight as a hygenist (I know- NOT why I went to dental school, but trying not to get into more debt while on a resident's salary!!) I have passed part I and II, but did not take WREB so I won't have a CA dental licence until next year.

Anyone know if graduating from dental school allows you to do hygiene before getting a CA licence?

Contact the state board?

My guess is no because you never took a perio clinical board since you're gaining licensure from residency.
