Posting in the psych forum but they're open to other specialties with addiction medicine interest:

Looking for up to 2 doctors to cover weekends and holidays at an "inpatient" detox center.

It is technically "inpatient" detox... but its not a hospital. Its a brand new center built by the government of Broward County. So the patients are "admitted" to the detox center.

Responsibilities include: 1) admitting patients and placing orders which will be about 4-10 patients per day; 2) doing progress notes on the patients who are already admitted (there are 50 total beds); and 3) checking on the "sick" list which are issues the patients would like to address with a doctor. 4) being available from 7am Friday until 7am Monday by phone for the nurses to call you to get orders.

For weekends you go in on Saturdays and Sundays to see new patients on your own time. Between the two days it usually takes about 8-12 hours of work and the rest of the time you are available by phone.

The pay is about $1000 for each weekend. It starts a bit lower when you start but goes up after 6 months.

You do need a full FL license/DEA number and a buprenorphine waiver.

PM me if you are interested.
