How does this work in neurology?

All depends on your program and availability. My program did allow me to externally moonlight but I actually couldn't find any good opportunities.

Ah I see, so you wouldn't be working as a neurologist most likely? maybe ER or IM service?

Right, exactly. I'm not sure if there is a legal issue with it, but our program specifically would not allow us to moonlight in a neurology capacity, but again I don't know if that's legal thing or not. So it was a matter of finding a different type of position such as urgent care, which I wasn't particularly keen on doing.

We moonlight at a local mental health institution for the incarcerated who are institutionalized or sick.
