Hello,

Has anyone ever had to use Moore's Clinical Anatomy but has found the condensed Essential Clinical Anatomy more useful?

Thanks you input is much appreciated.

hey,
my school used the BIG one last year for gross, but has now decided on the essential clincal (i am very thankful because the old one was BIG and heavy) i think the material is about the same. the only thing i can see that is different is fewer blue clinical correlation boxes. good luck, but i like the essential just fine!

My school uses Moore's Essentials and it is a really good. When I read a part of it I read it at least two times so I can get a good understanding of it. But in all, Moore's Essentials is one of the best anatomy books out there.

Yes!

BUt r u folks saying the smaller book is just as good.
Moore's Clinical Anatomy is not the essential smaller condensed version.

Thanks for your help!

The essential version is great to give you a quick read through a topic. I found it to be very useful for head and neck anatomy, where I though the BIG Moore's was a little wordy. However, the major drawback is the lack of "blue boxes", which have very high yield anatomy material in them. I actually own both and would carry the little one around most days. I use the big Moore's if I have a more specific question. If you have wasy access to a Big Moore's at your library, you would do fine to just have the Essential at home. As a side note, you may also want to get a Netter's since the pictures in the Essential could never compare to Netter.
