anyone know if you are supposed to write an actual essay for the aadsas manual dexterity question? or just list info? I mean, if you play the piano and guitar, and sports, what else are you supposed to write down for that?? thats it right? 😕
im awesome at ping pong? foosball?

Also, are other volunteer activites not in dental field, like in hospitals and clinics, "look good" on the app? 😕

No you don't have to write an essay. I'd be very brief this section and just list what you're proficient at and how long. 🙂

ok great, thanks! now...what type of things are they looking to be listed? what did all of you, or do you plan on putting in the section? 🙂 😕

i left mine blank, haha
no schools questioned me about it though.

Realizing that dentistry requires a person to be in complete control of their hands at all times, many of the activities that I engage in enhance the dexterity of my fingers. Playing saxophone for nine and a half years and guitar for four years has provided me with a musical outlet, while increasing the agility of my fingers. I have also been rock climbing for six years resulting in my fingers having strong and precise movements. Finally, last summer I started oil painting and constructing models to fine-tune my hand movements in tight and delicate spaces.

i play video games and guitar and took sculpting classes in high school 😀 and i put that on the application

if you play ping pong, why not put it down? that's reflexes. it might not be fine-tuned finger movement but it's something to do with hand eye coordination.

What else can you put?

I bet many people bull**** this question. No one is going to do an extracuricular activity just to fullfill this question.
