Which of the following molar roots is wide faciolingually and concave on both mesail and distal surfaces?

answer- mesial of mandibular first

Why is that? To me it looks convex on the mesial surface. Thank you.

Tinman- The MB roots of upper first molars are generally conical +/- apical dilaceration, and the root surface doesn't typically exhibit any concavities.

Lubdub- The roots of lower first molars are frequently hourglass shaped in cross section. The concavity is oriented buccolingually, not occlusocervically.

In an iideal intercuspal position, the DL cusp of max first molar, opposes the:

-- answer: mesial marginal ridge of the mandibular 2nd molar.

why not " lingual sulcus of 1st molar"??

because that would make it a class II and a cross bite situation.....
may be wrong...but im pretty sure thats it. answer is right though.
