Hello everyone, i guess my question is regarding DO schools looking at your entire application.

For instance i have been a certified pharmacy technician for all 4 years of college i work 30-35 hours a week in the pharmacy and this isn't including the tutoring and SI hours i put in each week.

Will a medical schools look into this at all and say "hey this kid works almost a full time job while in school".

Also does a pharmacy tech help much in my application?

Thanks for your input!

It will certainly help.

It shows you can juggle a lot a once.

If you mean will medical schools look at your app and say "hey this kid has a crappy GPA/MCAT, but it's ok because he works a full time job", then no they won't.

If your GPA or MCAT is on the cusp of the school average, then your work experience will be looked upon more favorably and might be just enough to push you to the interview rounds. However, if your GPA is well below the school average, it will be viewed much more critically as it might be interpreted as a lack of best judgement especially since it went on for 4 years. -Admissions to Medicine

Yes, they will look at that. Over the past few years I was working 32-40 hours a week, and they liked that. I think it also made up for my so-so GPA.
