More likely to get interview if program has residents from your school?

Are you more likely to get an interview if the program has a resident(s) from your medical school? Assuming you don't come from a brand name school. I'm not saying this would be a sole reason for interviewing someone but if a PD was comparing applicants with similar stats.
 
Depends on if said resident(s) are good or bad. But yes, previous residents from a school can "set a tone" even if it's a minor one. We are all human and have our biases.
