Hi everyone! Does anyone know where I could take more online MCAT practice exams without paying $2000+? I did the Princeton Review course this past summer, but I have done (and for most of them, redone) the practice tests given to me through the course, and I don't really find them that much more helpful at this point. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Have you tried doing the AAMC test yet? Those are the most realistic test you are going to see on the actual MCAT. Practice questions from different MCAT prep companies can vary in difficulty, so to get the best idea of how you will do on the exam is to do the AAMC test.

This following website (https://www.reddit.com/r/Mcat/wiki/mcat2015faq/practiceexams) will give you a list of FL you can buy from NS(5), Altius(10), EK(4), and GS(2). The AAMC released the new qbank and FL if you haven't completed those already. There is also TBR which is great. There are also the EK and NS problem sets.

TBR offers 4 full length tests + 21 tests @Bruskie_77 mentioned + 2 AAMC ones = More than enough practice material. Obviously you don't need all that but you got plenty of sources to choose from. And I second what @MCAT-MVP said regarding the AAMC, they should be on the top of your list.

Thank you @Bruskie_77 @MCAT-MVP and @Dr. Trenb ! I actually have done the AAMC exam and am currently going through the AAMC question pack bundle (forgot to mention that). I guess my last question would be out of all of these that have been mentioned, which would probably be most similar to the actual AAMC exam? I feel like I hear the most about EK, Kaplan and TBR, but does anyone have input on which would probably be most similar to the actual MCAT? Thanks guys!

To make sure you have the science concepts down pretty cold go for TBR passages for the sciences. The EK had pretty good FL's with challenging questions but the passages were typically somewhat interesting compared to the convoluted AAMC passages. It also contains a lot of experiment based passages which is being emphasized more with the new MCAT (unfortunately TBR passages doesn't really focus on that). I'm not great at CARS and the majority of the passages were long with a few shorter but more challenging questions. Your best bet so you're prepared for CARS would be to spend less time when practicing especially with the EK 101 passages/TBRH Verbal unless CARS is one of your strengths.

This is my (n=1) 0.02 so check out the following website: https://www.reddit.com/r/Mcat/wiki/mcat2015exam. This will have a commentary from many students who have used the various resources. There is a lot of resources so my best advice would be to find content review that fits your learning style and to go through the AAMC content summary so you don't miss anything because a lot of the books have holes somewhere. For practice AAMC > TBR > EK > Kaplan > all others. Best of luck.

Hello,

I work for the Gold Standard MCAT and came across your post. We do offer 7 full-length online practice tests with explanations and instant scores for all 4 sections. We also offer an MCAT Question Bank bundle with over 4000 practice questions (7 full-length exams, MCAT CARS booster program, additional 5 MCAT CARS tests; priced at $399).
These practice tests follow the AAMC format but, of course, with different passages/questions.

You can test drive our materials by signing up for a free MCAT practice test

Good luck with your studies!
Petra
