Most Bizzare/Weird/Interesting Interview Moment

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
My weirdest interview moment was when one of my interviewers looked at my application, then announced he had only one concern about me. He said, "I see you've been everything from a soccer mom (coach, actually) to a college Administrator, Girl Scout leader, volunteer, and Mary Kay sales rep. So, convince me that vet school is not just a whim."

I was just...stunned. I first fell into it by telling him he had a good point. But then I recovered and explained that as a 41-year-old wife and mother, I'd obviously had very broad experiences over the years. I also said that none of my prior incarnations had ever dissuaded me from wanting to become a veterinarian.

I left the interview feeling shaken. I even cried on my drive home. But I guess I answered ok, because I got in.

I think this is exactly what I'm afraid of. I'm also wondering if I'm going to get the same question. Glad to know there's hope.

Here's my two bits:

1. Schools get a list of all the VMCAS schools you applied to. One interviewer asked me to tell her why I had applied TO EACH ONE. Crap, how do you say great things about all the other schools while still sounding like theirs is the best? I basically discussed Dr. recomendations (our radiologist went here...etc.).

2. At my friends interview, they were very friendly when she came in and offered her a jelly bean (they had a whole dish of them). She politely declined. Later, after being accepted she asked about it. Apparently, if you say yes, they will ask you a question and it looks very unprofessional of you (food in teeth, etc.) and reflects on your overall score. Again, what the heck? If it was me, I probably would have ate one, thinking it more polite!
