Hi! The most common cause of upper respiratory infection overall is viral.
Among all viruses, which family is the most frequent?
adenovirus in children and rhinovirus in adults?

RSV in little babies
Yeah, they will usually present in the emergency room in the stem, that's a nice tipoff to the answer.

For croup and bronchiolitis, the list we are given:
Parainfleunza (RNA -)
RSV (RNA -)
Adenovirus (DNA, non-enveloped)
Influenza (RNA -, I think? Not sure)

Pathoma last edition text says the most common cause of rhinitis is rhinovirus, but the videos say adenovirus. Anyone knows which one is correct?

If i had to choose, I'd say: rhinoviruses are the most common cause of infectious rhinitis (common cold or coryza), and other causes are: coronavirus, influenzavirus, adenovirus, etc.

Just came across this in firecracker: most common cause of "common cold" is rhinovirus 30-50%, followed by coronavirus: 10-15%.
