What are the most competitive PT schools, as far as you're aware? I've scoured pages for the ones I'm interested in, and sometimes I find info on applications versus acceptances and sometimes not. But, overall, I'm curious where most of the applications go and why those programs have a huge draw. My guess would be Texas schools because of low tuition and maybe some of the CA schools?

For CA, state schools are most competitive (San Diego, Long Beach, Nothridge, Fresno). They are the cheapest and accept the least number of student.
Applications from the same students go to many schools, but people with the highest stats will likely stick to a cheaper school and reject acceptance (or will not even apply) to more expensive private schools.

Any public/state schools where the tuition is low. Example being CUNY Hunter, with its low tuition it's likely more competitive to get into than Harvard.

Do you think Columbia is competitive?
IDK. Check with the school how many people applied last year, how many got accepted, and average stats of accepted students last year. - That will tell you how competitive a school is.

I'm graduating undergrad from UW-La Crosse and I would call their PT program competitive. They get 700-800 applications per cycle and accept a class of 45. This is probably because they're relatively cheap ($65k ish for the whole program) and also relatively highly regarded.
