Hey, what do you guys think is the most difficult question bank out there?
Also which is the most comprehensive one?

I can think of (can't rank as to difficulty level)
1. Board Simulator Series
2. USMLEasy
3. Robbins Review of Pathology
4. USMLERx
5. Q-Bank
6. Q-Book
6. USMLE Steps 123 Question Bank
7. NMS
8. NBME (Forms 1-4)
9. Pre-test (Series)
10. Webpath (Only path, and must be similar to #3, I guess)

Did I forget anything?

Thanks.

Thanks, Idio. Do you think it was comprehensive enough?

It'd be great to know what other heavyweights think. Bigfrank, Cherrypie, Ham on, Longdong, p53, etc.... if you guys find some time to spare....

I wonder particularly how Pre-test/USMLEasy compares to BSS (BSS being almost a decade older....).

👍

Skip the Anatomy Questions on BSS.

Do the Pathology, Microbiology, and Neuro questions on BSS. They give you the most bang for the buck.

What about the general principles, and abnormal processes books in the BSS series? Are they worth going over, or is just better to stick to the organ systems books?

I used the BSS CD and did the questions by discipline. Not familiar with the book. Although I heard it is the same questions. The CD makes it easier to extract out via subject.

There's only one BSS people use right? The 2000 version? Did another one come out after that or is that the one you used?

Exam Master is supposed to be relatively easy (so says FA).

BSS is supposed to have 'relatively outdated' questions. Whatever that is supposed to mean. It came out in 1997 or 1998 as a book, and a couple of years later as a CD.

Anyway, bumping up this thread. What do you think is the most difficult (comprehensive or not) question bank on the market? 😕

Thanks.

Board Simulator hands down. That question bank is EVIL... EVIL I SAY!!!!

I do like the exam master for a quick computerized test in between study sessions. USMLE Qbank too but I don't really like it. I thought it was a waste of money. 🙁

I've been using ExamMaster, I think it is a waste... Someone in an earlier posted mentioned it being easy, but I would say that QBank is hands down MUCH easier than ExamMaster. This opinion is shared with several other classmates who have used both. ExamMaster can be good for review and I would recommend it for quick-hit/quick test class-room supplementation. EM's biggest down fall is its lack of detail in some important areas and its overload of detail in others.

NMS is not very nice to my bum
NMS sucks a***. 👎 But I guess it helps u learn a bunch of "minusia" that the USMLE folks like to throw around 😕
