most lucrative subspecialties

i was wondering if anyone knows what the most financially rewarding pm&r subspecialties are?? so far i've heard msk, pain, and spinal cord injury, is that accurate?? how about cardiac or stroke rehab?? if anyone has any info and/or numbers, i'd appreciate it. thanks!!

you have similar potential to make money in most subspecialities of PMR but your work hours are different.

best hours are pain and EMG
worse hours are inpt (including stroke and SCI)

you have to also decide if you would prefer inpt vs Outpt practice. those are most important factors.

remember, if you are smart, you will make money in any branch of medicine, so concentrate on interest.

well, each EMG could make anywhere between 500-1200 based on what the pts needs are. If practice has good referal base, it would hae great financial rewards

Most Electromyographers dont want to be paied per year since they could generatre more incom as independent contractors or if they get paied per case especially if they own the EMG machine.

base salary will differ 10-20 K if you have ability to do EMG compare to if you dont. EMG board certification is nice to have
