Most mathematical specialties

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Maybe through dosing in Anesthesiology or EM? Though I imagine a pharmacist does most of the math, the specialties might require some mental math in crash situations. All very basic math though

Disappointing. I like the pure objectivity of calculations.

I'm leaning towards Rads. The intersection of basic science and medicine.

I guess I meant physical science, more specifically, physics. I don't need to be doing math problems, but I think I would like practicing something with a foundation in physics and/or chemistry. So yes, specialties like gas, cards, rads, path, and tox.

Can you give a quick example on how the foundation in physics/chemistry/mathematics could be helpful? Maybe a quick problem on one of those specialties?

Toxicology makes sense to me, but not too sure about rads and cards..

As a math major, I was just curious.

I use my foundation and training from my Physics major every day as a Vascular Surgery resident. While the content of the major is largely useless (maybe a couple times a year in med school/residency it comes in handy), the lateral thinking and problem solving skills derived from a problem based foundation with an emphasis on logic and critical analysis pays dividends.
