Hello, I am stuck at this secondary prompt from NYU and would love to get your feedback.

1) During high school I wanted to join the track and field team at my school but had never trained or prepared. I worked hard for it and made the team eventually but never won any medals. My only concern with this is that it was in high school and I never really ended up picking the sport up. So it was more of a one and done thing which I am proud of.
2) my mom and sister recently moved to the US so my mom can get a green card and a citizenship considering I was here and she couldn’t visit with her other passport. I helped them with their move from working together in resumes, finding apartments, teaching then how to use credit cards since they were used to only cash, etc. now they have been here for three years, both got promotions, my mom is applying for the citizenship in 6 months and I am personally proud of this accomplishment for it has allowed us to reunite after being apart for a while. Would this work or it an accomplishment for them rather than me?

Would love to get your opinion.

1) I'd root for walk-ons. That's a big personal accomplishment IMO. What did you learn about yourself from this experience? Why was it meaningful for you at the time?

2) As written, it's their accomplishment with your support. Unless it's your job to help people in general (I helped over 100+ people find apartments in the city), helping your family is meaningful but not necessarily an accomplishment if they were successful with the resources you provided.

1)I think at that time I received alot of criticism from friends and coaches that I should stick to my academics which I was good at. Back where I grew up, there is this theme that if you’re good at school you shouldn’t do sports and vice versa. I also did it without formal coaching. It was me and my dad waking up early and going to train at a public park near my house. I was never fit and never truly was committed to a sport. I learned how much dedication I can put in and how much I appreciate having people who believe in and want to support me.
2) that is what I felt but also thought I could spin it in another way to make my role more of a focus.
