We all know studying for the DAT sucks your life out, to say the least. At times it is overwhelming and staying focused is difficult. Obviously we all want to get into Dental school, but what else motivates you? I thought this would be a good thread for people to refocus and keep going. Good luck everyone, keep at it!

In addition to everything else that has been said:
1. I used to make sure I hit the gym regularly in the morning, it woke me up for the day and put aside the groggy/wanna go back to bed feeling.
2. I studied at my neigborhood's Barnes and Noble-it was motivating because there were always other people studying for something or another-Nursing, Law, USMLE. Generally an atmosphere of people trying to do well.
3. Rewarded myself with 30 minutes of facebook if I got through 2 hours of material-breaks helped me rejuvenate.
4. Visualized what I wanted for my life, and what I wanted my future practice to be like/look like.
5. Tell yourself there is no plan B, what else would I do if dentistry was not an option...I really did'nt want to give up my first choice..

Hope this helps someone 🙂
