So I just got off the phone with an old friend I haven't talked to in years. She told me she just finished her pediatric residency.

Her and I used to do chemistry homework together in college... she's finishing her residency... I haven't applied to medical school yet...

:bang:

I'll be back, I'm going to add another class to my fall semester schedule.

So? You make too many thread about nothing really.

Think of it under this light: once you do enter medical school you can call her up and ask for HW help!

👍

I was just messing around. It was just crazy to me to think back like it was yesterday when we were talking about applying and now she's done with her residency. That's awesome!

Hahaha I know the feeling, I have a friend who is now a practicing dentist in Canada and another who is an MD in Brazil, it's cool to see them moving on with life. Makes me more eager to get mine going!

Start getting yourself involved in medically-related extracurriculars. Look for opportunities to network like free-to-the-public conferences and speeches. Consider hands-on CME courses to brush up on or learn new skills in the meantime. Small steps can make a huge difference in your perception of where your medical career currently is.
