For those of you who got into Mount St Joes in Cincy can you please display your stats. I am applying next year and was just trying to get an idea of how competitive it is.

Pre-req GPA: 3.13
Overall GPA 3.3
GRE 580 verbal, 710 quant, 2.5 writing
Observation hours: 200 hours in outpatient ortho, acute care, peds, neuro, and geriatric facilities.

All this got me onto the top third of the list, and I'm in now 😀. Best of luck! From what I've heard, GPA and pre-reqs are most important at most programs, but if you bust your butt on the GRE and with the observation hours, along with a good interview, clearly you can overcome any small bumps in the road you may have had.

I got into their program a few years ago, but failed one class by 1% of a test grade average and was dis-enrolled from the program. I'd suggest choosing another program!!

That seems harsh.. Just one test by 1%? Were you warned earlier? I thought PT schools worked with students and gives them at least two chances.u

Yes, for this one class you had to have a 75% test average to pass the class. I ended up with a 74%. The tests were very difficult, having answers you could argue with the two professors. Totally unfair situation. It was shocking and a huge disappointment, as I wasted years of my life and 20,000 while being there for 6 months!

But everything happens for a reason- 2 years after I failed out I was accepted into a school in Los Angeles- which is where I've wanted to live since I was in high school!
