3am shorty was going around in circles about thinking there’s a wolf between sunny and genny, but I won’t have time to look into posts deeply probably until tomorrow.

Why would Mayo be on your kill list? There’s a fair number of people suspicious of him.

Because the NKs so far have been weird and very different from what I would have picked. Trying to put myself in fuzzy shoes, but I still disagree with who they've prioritized.
 
I don't think genny's voting pattern so far fits with her wolf meta, I don't recall her voting the same person on consecutive days, but I'll have to look to confirm. I have seen her do that as village.

I'll have to go look at Donuts though because the 2 games I played with wolf!genny, she never had 2 consecutive votes period. But if there's a wolf between her and sunny like I was hypothesizing earlier, I think it's more likely to be sunny.
 
It's feeling increasingly clear to me that at least one or two of the wolves are low posting, intentionally or not.

I don't usually espouse this, but looking at the living "high" posters (this has been a pretty quiet game so far), we have:
shorty
Me
Vis
Cray

Then, the people with the least posts:
speechy
dolph
genny
sunny

I don't know what to do with this information but I will say, I'm surprised to see cray and Vis have as many posts as they do because I feel like I don't remember seeing them that much.

“if they’re village” is kind of pinging me as awkwardly trying to avoid appearance of perspective slip more than something a villager would really say but I might just be getting overly hung up on phrasing.

I guess I overestimated her placement in people's rankings. Just feeling a bit paranoid because she flew completely under the radar of a bunch of players who are better at this than me, in a way that feels like this game.

I know she's on vacation so she can't post much/this isn't her top priority, but I haven't really been agreeing with some of her posts. In particular, her response to Cray very mildly sussing her feels like a big overreaction. That's not necessarily a wolfy crime but I actually have several people I feel really good about this game, so it's more a "doesn't have many village points but does have some wolf points" for sunny.
At this point my wolfy leans would probably go:
mayo>sunny>Cray>dolphin

Yeah, it usually means that someone has thrown too much shade on someone else for them to reasonably be teammates.

But wolves obviously know that, and will slander/shade other wolves just to create distance between them (sometimes to unnecessary degrees).

Usually compatibility= wolfing together. As in, "PSV and true are compatible because they're mostly agreeing with each other and going after the same people without sussing each other." I don't think sunny and Cray are compatible based on sunny's steadfast sus of cray.
However, there's this thing called deepwolfing where you bus your packmates really heavily even when there's no suspicion on them so you can claim credit for saying "Lookie, Cray's a wolf!" and then theoretically you win the game.
 
Ah, ninja'd by true.
The last few games in particular have featured some relatively hostile packmate interactions and voting patterns, so take that with a grain of salt. It's also more difficult to use w/w compatibility (w/w being wolf/wolf) when no wolves have flipped yet and everything is speculative.

Ah yes, I've heard PSV strategizing like this in past games. So if someone is being too harsh to someone else, it could be reasonable to assume they are a wolf?

Eh, sometimes people are very confident that they have correctly identified a wolf, so they'll go after someone really aggressively. There are very few rules about behavior that are really reliable, since the wolves know them too and can adapt.

Honestly, I'm terrible at the "reading people" aspect of these games, the only thing I do well is voting analysis and numbers stuff. 😅

Aaaaand this is where I start to get paranoid that shorty is keeping me around for endgame because she knows I’m gullible. Pre-concert!genny is rather jumpy.

You and others keep mentioning this low posting thing. I am on vacation now which is the priority but I have a heck of a lot more time then I did the prior 2 day cycles. No appeal to emotion because it’s IRL not game related but you guys keep grinding this up. I’m an IM intern and within my program have the highest weekly hours (which I know because my program keeps telling me). So when I was on duty I was barely posting. I also would still never be the highest poster no matter what setting or job I was in.

I’ve always philosophically found this interesting. And think we’ve even had some debates on SDN WW about this before. I think the majority consensus was not to do thinks in active game to protect future games. Though I still think it’s an interesting topic and certainly think you were half joking.

1. I’m on vacation now and I was exploring around, now checking the thread before going to dinner.
2. I did not overreact to cray in any way, either game play wise or personally.
3. You’ve never played with me before so you don’t know but when I’m village the main way I wolf hunt is by the way people interface with me.
4. Cray would ordinarily never try to build a case against me on top of verifiable untrue things.

In addition to what true said, some people just come off as abrasive regardless of affiliation. Some wolves try to be more hostile to their packmates so if/when one of them flips, it would appear to clear the other.

I wasn't trying to imply anything personal.
The two posts you pulled earlier from cray to show her making a wild case against you just aren't all that incriminating, imo. This is only my second time playing with Cray so it's not like I know every aspect of her meta, but I don't see either of her posts as a stretch. In fact, they don't seem to actually be talking about you all that much.
I am suspicious of Cray but not for those reasons.

Feeling least good about Mayo, Sunshine, Vis, and Dolphin. But this is my first game with Sunshine and Dolphin, so I think there's some bias at play there.

Is there anything you’re specifically suspicious of genny and dolphin for, or just that they haven’t done anything to prove villageyness?

@holdthemayo Let's not forget when we were wolfing last game we left shorty alive for... ever.
(Partially because we thought she would be blocked but.)
I don't think the only two explanations for her being alive are that she's wolfing or wolves want to leave her alive because practice game. For the first, I still feel like she's village. For the second, we already saw the wolves smite Paws N1. If they had sentimental reasons for not NK'ing certain people, I doubt that would've been their first choice.
