I have a family and don't want to have to move around too much during medical school to do rotations. Some schools I know allow you to do all your rotations at one site. Does anyone know about LECOM? Do you have to move all around their sites? Also, if anyone has done the PBL at LECOM, how did you like it? I just interviewed at WVSOM and was very impressed with their PBL program.

As far as I was told at LECOM you don't have to move around if you don't want to - basically you can arrange your clinical rotations sites as you want/can. We were told a story during the interview day about somebody who had kids, etc and arranged to have all his rotations within reasonable driving distance...Haven't experience it yet myself but that's the information I have. Hope that helps a bit 🙂

lynx is correct. You can pick a certain area and do pretty much all of your rotations in that particular area without having to do that much moving around. My rotations have all been within an hour drive of each other.

At KCUMB, you have 2 options for year 3: stay in the Kansas City area and do your core rotations at several different hospitals, or move away from KC and do all your rotations at the same hospital. The only way to guarantee yourself a slot in the KC area is to take the MBA program.
