Moving Out?

1. Stopped reading there. One class and you're an expert?
2. "With an A" oooh watch out. So impressed.
Yeah, people should definitely never have an interest in or discuss anything until they're a bonefied expert. Just like you should never ride a bicycle until you are already good at it, without practicing at all ever!

I did not read the whole thread, but I wanted to say that no one I met at my university was "kicked out of the house" or lived completely independently during undergrad. Everyone went home to their parent's residence for the holidays. I thought this was the norm? That college kids are still dependents of their parents?

Good luck attending WashU without full parental support. I too can't imagine how parents can kick out children from their home. Where I come from kids may very well not move out until late 20s. Actually it's customary for all generations to live together.

There are plenty of us who attended Wash U without full parental support, including my wife and myself.

We went home for the holidays because thats what we do around the holidays...

having an interest in a topic and claiming absolutes and writing a darn near essay-length post (relatively) about a topic are two different things.

that's how I took it at least. clearly not how the post was intended, so it's just another case of the internet being a poorer method to convey ideas than vocal. no big deal, not offended and I agree I came off a little strong... hadn't had my coffee yet.
