I am just wondering why MPH grades cannot contribute toward sGPA, or why most threads regarding MPH & sGPA on SDN indicate they do not contribute, when AACOMAS indicates that Epidemiology courses fall under the science umbrella? Obviously, I understand why they are not included with your uGPA.

Because they are not Ugrad courses. Why would they count for your Ugrad Sgpa?

OK. So I have an MPH and this is what I did and have been verified. You have two sGPAs technically. You have your overall and your undergrad (AACOMAS calculates them and separates them). Most schools only care about overall, otherwise the point of post-bacc and masters programs would be mute. Several MPH courses count under the science umbrella, you just have to categorize them correctly, but if they do fall under the umbrella (like epid), then they will be used in your overall sGPA calculation. I hope that clarifies.

Thank you to the second poster! I thought that was likely what happened with sGPAs, but hadn't seen it explained or confirmed that way.
