Hey everyone, when do people usually start MPH programs during their DVM? I'm looking at options right now and I'm thinking I'm going to apply to start the spring/summer semester before 2nd year.

Even if I’m considering multiple MPH programs? I know Michigan state’s has a timeline for their dual enrolled students. But I’m also considering Mizzou’s online vet emphasized MPH program as well, and from what I can tell, it’s the cheaper option for me.
Yes actually! Mizzou has a fully online program. Is that a thing? Can you be in vet school at one location and do an MPH at another at the same time?

That I am not sure of, I'm still researching COA and how financial aid works when attending 2 different schools. I'm assuming I can just add Mizzou to my FASFA as a school I'll be attending, but I'm still emailing and asking questions about that with the financial aid department.I'm talking from a financial aid standpoint. Could you get FAFSA financial aid for both while attending both?

You can be enrolled in two schools at once but only one school can receive the loans. That school has to pay the other school or reimburse you so you can directly pay the separate tuition.
How are you figuring that it would be cheaper for you?
It’s hard for me to imagine many scenarios in which attending two separate schools would be cheaper because you would have to pay both Michigan and Mizzou concurrently. Whereas, within the same institution, you’re typically not paying both DVM and MPH tuitions concurrently.
At Ohio State, DVM/MPH students pay just vet school tuition in the Spring and Fall semesters, even when taking MPH related credits, and just MPH tuition for credits related to that program in the summer or in any semester they are singly enrolled. It’s that way across campus for any dual degree student too (DVM/MS, MD/MHA, MD/JD, etc.). I doubt OSU is unique in its handling of dual degree students.
You should inquire directly to your school to save yourself time and effort.Yes I found out that one one school receives the loan yesterday from financial aid.
Honestly, I was just looking at the tuition of each program. Mizzous MPH is about 19k and MSU’s is about 28k. I don’t know how tuition differs in dual enrollment cases.
I already have, I just posted here in the meantime to see if anyone had any personal experience with the process. You should inquire directly to your school to save yourself time and effort.
