What are your perspectives on the differences and strengths/weaknesses of enrolling in an MPH school vs. a biomedical school with an MPH program? I'm looking at various places online right now and it seems that the biggest difference is that an MPH school has more areas of study and is generally larger than an MPH program alone. Are there differences in quality between the two? Your thoughts appreciated.

bump,
any thoughts?? or is there little merit to the question?

Yes, a public health school will have more depth than a program within a medical school. The public health school will likely have professors with more varied research backgrounds since the MPH encompasses more than just medicine, and that can be very helpful. However, if you have criteria that are more important than broadness of learning like location, convenience, etc., I don't think it makes that much of a difference.
