Yes, don't really know as it was a courtesy degree before the PhD. Statistical Computing/Informatics. If terminal, it would have been two years. I'm one of two pharmacists in the country with it as it's tracked by the MGP (Topic 90), so can't advise on pharmacy direct job prospects. Everyone else in my cohort either completed a PhD or got TS/SCI or Q clearance and work for DoE or Ft. Meade.

It was not contiguous with my PharmD and I'm glad for that.

Does anyone here have a MS? How many years was it and what types of studies did it involve?
Did you have a concentration in anything specific?

Just curious. Thank you.
I don't believe MS Pharm programs are the norm anymore, at least in the United States. The main degrees in the field are the BSPharm (not given anymore), and the PharmD. BSPharm used to take about 5-5.5 years, while PharmD takes about 6-8 years.

I would not say that in front of the Wisconsin alumni. Their MS is widely considered to be the best in the country for advanced practice. I will pay my respects to their grads even though I'm trained in a different field. Both the BS and PharmD are considered undergraduate first degrees, though the PharmD is also terminal.

The two MS pharmacy degrees are for advanced practice or management. Nuclear normally confers an MS though you don't have to complete it for BCNP. The old alternative for residency was the MS model, and it is my understanding that Wisc still requires significant didactic training for their residents.

I met several persons with a MS and wanted to gain appreciation for the program. I was curious regarding the types of studies that was involved during this degree. No, no need to disclose job related information - it wouldn’t be polite for me to ask. 🙂

Thank you for the information!

Good to know. Thank you. Is this the approximate time it took to get yours?
