I'm a first year, so I'm not too sure where to post questions like these on SDN. Nevertheless, I thought some of you second years might know.

I don't get why epinephrine blocks glucose intake. Wouldn't you want to increase glucose intake so that your muscles have ample access to energy for glycolysis and ATP production?

Not sure what you mean by "blocks glucose intake." Epi increases blood glucose by stimulating glycogenolysis & gluconeogenesis directly and through stimulation of the release of glucagon.
