MS2 here. I'm at a crossroad. Planning on taking Step 1 next May. I'm in a PBL-like pathway, where 95% of my learning is out of textbooks. Our exams seem to be written in a way that I've found if I use only board review materials, I will have no problem getting solid B. For example, I can use ONLY Pathoma, Sketchy Micro/Pharm, BRS Phys, Boards and Beyond, Bro's deck, and USMLERx. Am I OK to do this? Or am I in anyway hurting my future board score by not reading the actual texts versus going straight to these board review sources? In the past, I've read the actual texts, but I'm not sure how useful anything outside of FA is when it comes to step 1. Is it worth keeping to the main texts and just supplementing with these resources? Or should I focus nearly all my effort on the board review resources?
