That's cool. Do you really like Nickelback though, or is your username sarcastic?

I like them (it's probably due to nostalgia in that I listened to them a lot when I was younger). I have a feeling that others don't share that enthusiasm

Nickelback is like the Nicolas Cage of rock bands.

No kidding. I never thought about it. Him and Chad Kroeger might be the same person.

Wait, how does this dude play football in medical school? Did he not play at all in UG?

He played football in Canada. Google his last name, and you can find his NFL.com profile. Pretty interesting stats.

Woah! Mind blown. I've just heard Nickelback's songs on the radio, but I never actually knew what their front man looked like--- the resemblance is uncanny!

I was just making the comparison because both of them are hated and ripped-on so much, not necessarily because of their awful talent/performance, but because they're merely mediocre in their respective fields, unoriginal, and cliche.
But after seeing these photos...... I think you're right: Nicolas Cage IS Nickelback. How has America missed this?

Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer chronic traumatic encephalopathy from football, or to suffer sheer mental trauma from medical school...

So when he is done, he will apply for residency? FM with Sports Medicine or Ortho?

Yes, that's what he said - that he wants to do a residency most likely after his playing days are over. However, he's in Canada and I have no idea how that works.

From ortho people, I have heard that ortho is actually not competitive whatsoever in Canada right now - like about the same competitiveness as IM. Apparently related to basically no Canadian ortho jobs available and most are doing 2 fellowships +/- a masters or PhD to be competitive for one of the few Canadian jobs that come up in less desireable areas.
