What year is this information from?

The reason I ask is because Baylor has only been an AMCAS school for 2 years. Thus, I do not think the the information on the "STAT" thread accurately represents this change.

If the data is more recent, wow, that's quite surprising Baylor only has 1600 applicants.

Those are the numbers from the 2003-2004 MSAR which shows information on the 2001-2002 first year class. I thought there was a more recent MSAR, but that may not be the case.

I checked the AAMC website, and there is a 2004-2005 MSAR available. You can order it from AAMC for $25 bucks.

Baylor had between 3,000 and 4,000 applicants this year. They had approximately the same number last year, too.

I think Baylor gets most of their applicant #'s from out of state, there are a lot of Texas residents who opt not to apply their since they are not in the TMDSAS application system. So most of their numbers (out of staters) are competing for 30% of the class, however about 30 spots are already taken up from programs where you are accepted after high school, so a lot of Texas people figure it is not worth the hassle to compete for ~90 places (subtracting 10 for the MD/PhD program) left since Baylor is so competitive. Now, I know that this is more of opinion and not fact so I don't have a source except word of mouth from both this application class and those from previous years.
