so, like, i was looking at the "GPA's by applicant/accepted" graph and was stunned by the amount of 4.0's out there.

It's a line graph that starts at 2.0 and ends at 4.0. You'd think the total applicants line would drop after 3.8 or so (a great GPA) but it keeps going higher. It ends up leveling off at 3.9 or so, but not by much. Point being, there are more much more 4.0 applicants than 3.7.

these numbers show the grade inflation that has occurred in the US university system over the past several decades
