MSAR Update Questions

Posting for my SO who is applying this cycle.

I was under the impression that the MSAR usually updates in March, but it looks like that hasn’t happened yet this year and I’m not sure when it will. If someone were to purchase the MSAR before the update, will they get access to the updated information once that’s released? If not, would it be better to hold off purchasing the MSAR until April or so?

I read LizzyM say it updates in the Spring, but I didn’t see a specific month. But yes, if you purchase it prior it will update automatically.

Actually, the MSAR is down at the moment so I think the update may be happening as we speak (Tuesday Noon EDT)

Updates
The MSAR Material will be updated annually, typically occurring in Spring, to reflect the requirements of the next year’s application cycle as well as the most recent updates available to survey and research data; each update shall be considered an “Edition.” The MSAR Material may also be updated from time to time at our sole discretion. All such updates will be made available to you at no additional cost.

If I purchased the MSAR last year, would I still have access to the updated version? Would save her $28
