Depends on what you're using it for. It obviously won't have the most up-to-date statistics on applicants interviewed and matriculated (but you can get that on-line). But if you're just using it for an overview of the different schools and contact information then it would probably do.

Does that change a lot from year to year? I assumed that would stay fairly consistent.
 
Well, it might and it might not, you just never know. For instance on the OHSU thread, someone just reported that they're accepting more out-of-state students this year, due to a cut in funding by the state (I know, I know, it's counterintuitive). And the next MSAR to come out, if it's based on this screwed-up application year, might have numbers that really wouldn't be an accurate prediction of how many applicants might apply in the next cycle. I think you'll be all right using an older one. If you really have a burning desire to know the exact stats for a particular school, look it up on the <a href="http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/beyond/gradrank/med/gdmedt1.htm" target="_blank">U.S. News site</a>.

Hey SMW, why is that counterintuitive? Isn't accepting more out of staters who will pay more tuition just one way to make up for the decrease in funding?
