Hey Everyone
Ive been looking into applying for a masters in counseling this fall and had a quick question. One program Im interested in offers a MSE degree in counseling housed in the education department. It provides the student to become licensed as an LPC after enough hours of course.
My questions I guess are: what are the benefits and limitations of receiving an MSE degree compared to an MS or MA in counseling? I would like to become licensed as an LPC and work for a little bit; however, I am also considering continuing my education to a counseling psychology PhD program. Would this degree be beneficial for a counseling psychology PhD program?
Thanks for your responses in advance
