Are they the same as MD + the extra MSTP essays? Or do they sometimes not make you write the MD ones? And specifically I guess for Duke and UCLA 😛

Typically, MSTP applications just tack a couple of extra questions and extra LOR requirements onto the MD application requirements. I only came across one school that substituted MD/PhD essays in place of the MD essays.

I'm not sure about Duke and UCLA, maybe you should ask on the Physician Scientist forum?
