Hi,

This is my second cycle applying to US. Last cycle I applied to mostly MSTPs, but didn't get any interviews (applied very late, finished secondaries in October) Here is my previous (very ambitious) list:

1. Albert Einstein (MD)
2. Baylor (MSTP)
3. Duke (MSTP)
4. University of Indiana (MD)
4. Perelman (MSTP)
5. UC Irvine (MSTP)
6. UCLA (MSTP)
7. UCSF (MSTP)
8. University of Colorado (MD)
9. University of Illinois (MD)
10. University of Michigan (MD)
11. University of Pittsburgh (MD)
12. University of Virginia (MD)
13. University of Washington (MSTP)
14. Weill Cornell (MSTP)
15. Yale (MSTP)

My stats:

cGPA: 3.77 sGPA: 3.76
MCAT: 510 --> 514(129/129/129/127
No in-state residency (lived in Canada but have US citizenship)
Undergraduate institution or category: University of Toronto
Clinical experience - ~500 hrs clinical volunteering in a hospital
Research experience and productivity - 5 years (>3000 hours), 2 year MSc, 3 pubs (2nd, 3rd, 4th author), 3 conference abstracts, 2 federal research awards
Shadowing experience and specialties represented - no shadowing (I'm aware this is a weakness, plan on shadowing radiation oncology in the following months)
Non-clinical volunteering - Graduate program's Mental health and wellness committee (~50hrs), community center volunteer (~200 hours)
Other extracurricular activities - Teaching assistant (3 years, 600 hours), campus Music Club president (150 hours)

Here's my new list for this year. Please advise considering I don't have in-state status anywhere.

Albert Einstein
Boston University
Case Western
Icahn
UCSD
UCLA
UC Irvine
University of Colorado
Indiana
University of Alabama
University of Connecticut
University of Massachusetts
University of Michigan
University of Pittsburgh

University of Illinois
University of Maryland

Things I know to work on
1. Apply early and finish secondaries by end of July
2. Get shadowing experience to include in secondaries
3. Change personal statement

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Your list is not realistic as you have many state public schools that admit few non residents with your stats and no connection to the state.
I suggest these schools:
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Tufts
Albany
New York Medical College
Hofstra
Einstein
Hackensack
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Penn State
George Washington
