I scanned through a few threads talking about the MSTP programs, but could not find a definite answer.

Are MSTP interviews generally later than MD interviews? For example, Pritzker says their MSTP committee only STARTS to review applications on December 1st, unless I misunderstood something.

I have one MSTP interview scheduled, but even in the school specific threads, there's hardly any mention of MD/PhD interviews.

Could anyone clear this up for me?

I've been on 2 MSTP interviews so far and have a third in Jan.
I think it's the opposite actually, they review them as early as possible (which is a huge hint to do them asap) because if they find you are not suitable for the joint program, they consider you for the MD only.

Of course, it depends on when you submit, but I'd say they generally do them asap, just as you should.

As per intensity, they run about ~5 interviews in one day where a typical MD only would only be 2 max. I had an early morn int, then lunch and 4 int's back to back at Buffalo (but it helped that everyone up there is amazingly friendly) and it was easier at NYU; 2 then a tour and lunch and the last 2 before dinner.

i have had somewhere from 6 - 9 interviews per mstp interview

I knew they consider you for the normal MD program, but I'm surprised I haven't received more rejections (or interviews 😉) if they review the applications earlier. In any case, I guess I'll just have to wait it out.
