So I'm reading through MSUCOM's secondary and I see that they don't require a LOR from a DO and they don't require an academic LOR. All they want is two people to fill out their evaluation form. Simple enough, right?

I'm actually having trouble finding someone that knows me on all five levels. Many people know about my committment to osteopathy, but they dont' know much about my leadership projects. Many other people know about my leadership, but they don't have a clue about my academic experiences. Many people know about those, but they don't know about my comittment to osteopathy.

See what I'm getting at? I can't really think of anyone off the top of my head that knows me on all five levels. What should I do? Send them a CV, personal statement, list of accomplishments (academic and nonacademic), send a note about why I want to be an osteopathic physician, and ask them to write? Anyone else having the same problem?

That sounds like a great plan. Then they have it all in front of them to review before they fill out the eval. I haven't gotten to the secondary phase, but when I do, I will have the same trouble. I have one person who I think knows me on all levels, but I will have to think about the other. Good Luck! I'm sure what your planning on will pan out perfectly!

that's what i'm doing for MSU - just sending my personal statement and my secondary essay to my evaluator and hoping they'll be able to answer all questions based on those and how well she knows me. good luck!

The most important thing with the MSU LOR is to select someone who knows you VERY WELL. This is probably obvious once you see the looooong special evaluation you are asking them to fill out! It sounds like a great plan to give all of your recommenders your CV and personal statement. I'm sure they will ask you if they have any questions. Good luck!

CAn someone please post the MSUCOM secondary or PM it to me, so I can get started. Thanks.
