MSUCOM does offer a scholarship for Canadians that make tuition virtually the same as IS (~34k).

if you get the canadian scholarship at MSU, I would go there. They seem to be taking very active steps in trying to increase the presence of DOs in canada, and it seems like a good thing to be a part of. But I know almost NOTHING about UNECOM in every way.

I can't speak for UNECOM, but MSUCOM has their Canadian initiative to promote Osteopathic Medicine in Canada, an amazing alumni network, a base hospital system of over 30 hospitals for rotations, 3 campus choices, close to Canada (Windsor and Sarnia), tons of EC opportunities depending on your interests, and research if you want it.

😕 I am only aware of the 20k scholarship given to Canadians, bringing down the tuition to 59k/year. Where is the other 25k/year scholarship(s) coming from?

But to OP: MSUCOM

"(~34k)" was referring to IS tuition. But I was told during a recent tour by a current Canadian MSUCOM student that the scholarship made the tuition really close to IS tuition. I didn't get into specific numbers with him, but he didn't make it seem like it was a big deal.

MSU is a great school. Finances make a difference, but if you can get the tuition down, I would go there. That's my personal opinion.

My stats are not better than yours, plus I'm Canadian, you will hear soon . I can see why you like UNECOM: The most beautiful campus of all... (in my humble opinion).

Oh my gosh that would be amazing but I'm very OOS. Good luck with your choosing! You some great schools to pick from 🙂

UNECOM is AWESOME (but I went there so I'm biased and would go there again in a heartbeat).... Don't know much about MSUCOM, except that it's a solid program (from what I hear) but I do know that location wise Maine >>>> Michigan any day (IMHO)!
