Reading this? Then you might have the same dilemma I have: trouble finding a comprehensive listing of MSW programs with a strong clinical concentration.
I'm learning that many well recognized MSW programs are stronger in policy and advocacy than clinical/counseling. A top ranked school right in my backyard, the otherwise obvious choice for me, is better known for policy than clinical. C'est la vie. I've been pouring through sites and speaking to academics and other experts in Seattle. Here's what I got so far for MSW programs well recognized for their clinical concentration:
(This list is unvetted. Please challenge and add to it. Thanks.)
Boston College
Boston Univ
Fordham
Hunter (CUNY Hunter)
NYU
Portland State
Simmons College
Smith
Univ of Chicago
Univ of Georgia (UGA)
Univ of Michigan
Univ of Wisconsin-Madison
USC
Washington Univ - St Louis
