Hey all,
Just wanted to get anyone's thoughts on the differences between Mt. Sinai & Monte? Both seem like they offer excellent clinical training & do well with fellowships.
As far as the "other" variables, Monte has an awesome peds hospital, with great pay, cheap housing, and they seem to feed you constantly Negatives - the call schedule & patient volume seem a bit rough? And apparently there's no days off during xmas/new years. As far as Mt. Sinai, they don't pay as well, offer minimal housing options, and don't feed you at all (even on call!). But they seem to have a great call schedule (usually 2 weekends off per month?) I'm also wondering how difficult it is to get to the 2 away sites (Englewood & Elmhurst)? Feel free to dispute any of this if you know otherwise...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....thanks!
