i know someone had posted info about Mt Sinai residency program and doing research during residency. I think someone said something about geeting you phd too Anyone have any more info.
We actually had a lecture at my medical school mention all of the diseases dicovered there. It's a pretty famous department. I don't know much about what's been discovered there in the last ten years or so, but with that huge volume, I'm sure its ongoing.
I definitely would consider Mt. Sinai to be one of the top pathology programs. I can't believe you haven't heard of Mt. Sinai? It's a pretty famous place.

I interviewed at Mt. Sinai. I didn't think much of the department, it's awfully crowded up there. However they have have a ton of specimens, they said around 150,000. That's too much work for me... hehehe..

Yeah, I think it is hilarious how the main hospital is ridiculously beautiful, and the path department hasn't been renovated in like 20 years. They told me that they are going to renovate it, but whatever. Actually all of the departments in NYC are cramped. I guess the realestate is too $$$$.
