I'm a high school senior, and I am applying to several pre-dental programs in my area (these include Montclair, Seton hall, FDU, and Steven's Institute of Technology), my goal, however, is to be accepted into the Muhlenberg Pre-dental program. My problem? My SAT scores. Despite the fact that I "qualify" to get into this school and program, I know that all dental programs are extremely competitive. I’d imagine that it would be even more so at this school due to the fact that it is affiliated with UPENN. Here are my credentials:

Stand a chance for what? Getting into dental school? That is evaluated by your performance in undergrad, not highschool.

And if you're referring to your chances of getting into one of those pre-dental programs, this is the wrong forum for that. This is for members looking to get into dental school, not university. Would you like for me to move this to the highschool forum?

I'm sorry, i assumed that this was for high school students applying to "pre-dental" programs, hence, the pre-dental forum. Is there a way for me to move this to the HS section?

I just moved it over there. And to give you a little bit of information. You aren't required to attend a "predental program" in order to get into dental school. You can attend any university you want and as long as you take the classes the dental school requires, you will be okay. The predental program is just a list of classes that specific university thinks will help you get into dental school.

While I do understand that entering a program is not necessary, it is something that I really want to do. I know I want to be a dentist, and that is not going to change. Entering a program would not only take away the stress of applying to dental schools after undergrad schooling, but it would also take away an extra year of tuitions. I don't have to get into a program, but it is something that I really want. Especially the program at Muhlenberg🙂
