Multiple Acceptances: Dropping 'em?

How did you guys go about dropping your acceptances? Phone call? Email? Letter?

Is it sufficient just to contact the school you're withdrawing from, or is it important to give AMCAS a little talking-to also?

i just sent emails to the schools. schools were generally all, "whatever, where do we send your money back?" then i started to include that info in my emails.
i made sure i sent a letter in the post, too.
