multiple letters of intent

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Don't do it. It's not a letter of intent if you intend to go to another school.

I've sent out one each to my two top choices. It included updates to my file since my interviews.

I believe the issue of multiple LOIs has been debated to death. It can't really hurt to do it.

I think the OP meant sending another LOI to the same school.

If you're going to send in the same letter, there's no point. If there's no updates, at least write some more about how the school fits you.

guys i think he meant more than one to the same school....and i would say its ok to do as long as you space them out, say different things, make them not too long, and dont sound desperate

Curse my dyslexia. Read the OP's post all wrong.

I agree. There's no point in sending a letter just to be a kiss-a$$.

yeah i meant sending in an additional letter to the same school. i would be able to say different things, but i definitely don't want to sound desperate...is there any way to do this?

The only thing you can really do at this point is to keep in contact with the admissions office on a periodic basis.

After getting several waitlists, I would call up the admit offices every couple of weeks to get general info about the current state of affairs. Are you still interviewing? Has the committee met recently? Et cetera. Or some specific question that I try to think of before calling.

Also, I try to remember the each secretary's name and have a little chat about random topics too. Doesn't hurt to grease the wheels a bit.

I have been waitlisted. I sent an LOI after my interview. is it a good idea to send them an LOI again.
also i am re-taking the MCAT in April...assuming that i am still on the waitlist...is it possible for me to send them the improved score (assuming it improves) in June. Will they take it into consideration?

I highly doubt that new MCAT scores would have any impact on the decision to offer you an acceptance if you're currently waitlisted.

Perhaps I'm wrong. Anybody have any experience with this situation?
