Multiple seats, waitlist movement

Who here has seats saved at more than one school? Have you decided which school you want to attend or are you on the wait list for your top school? Do you guys think there will be a substantial amount of waitlist movement generally through out all DO schools? When do you think will most of the movement occur?

I have a seat saved at a DO school, but I am waiting to here from other schools.

@4corners ...I can imagine people doing that for MD since these schools require only $100 deposit to save a seat... However, it might be difficult to do that for DO schools because some or most require $1,000 first deposit and a second deposit that can be $1,000-2,000 few weeks after the first one depending on the school. #INSANE!

True, but reality being is that over 20(?)% of our applicant pool will literally be scooped up by MD schools in the coming weeks ( with some schools greatly affected more).
This means a lot for the distributions.

But yah, who knows DO schools need to make a formal May 1st as well. Large deposits aren't enough.

But yah, my question is whether or not May 1st will be a big push or whether we will see the biggest pushes happening around the end of the month/ start of the next?

I don't exactly remember the numbers. But I think I read in one of the DO stat books that about that many end up in MD school after applying to DO also.

If we have deposits paid to more than one school, and are also waiting on another, is there a set deadline by which you must withdraw from a set school? Can't seem to find the answer...
Like one is the absolute last day you can withdraw a seat?

Probably the first day of classes when tuition is due. That's why you hear of individuals getting in a couple of days after school begins.

It's varied by school. But honestly for the benefit and sake of others who are on the waitlist try to make your decision in a relatively speedy manner.
