Anyone have any specific positive or negative comments concerning this program that would help to make someone choose MUSC over other schools?

and to answer your question, they have one of the best clinical programs in the country yet they are freakishly expensive even for instaters

Have not heard anything from them. Though I feel pretty confident this go around.
Yes they do have an awesome clinical program and their equipment is top notch.
Are you applying there also? Are you OOS or IS?

Is the total cost worth being in that clinical program?

Are you instate or OOS? And what other schools are you referring to?

I am instate for MUSC
GRU is the other school

Both are really good schools. I believe GRU would still be cheaper for you to go OOS as opposed to instate for MUSC (since MUSC has the highest instate tuition, plus living in Charleston is pretty pricey). You can't go wrong with either school.

Not really, it's over 100k for GRU if you are one of the lucky 8 OOS, and it's about 90K MUSC including living cost in Charleston

Thanks! Yeah Charleston is so nice but just looking around at where to live...I think I will only be able to afford places around the sketchy areas. LOL

well then I think they are equally matched for tuition b/c MUSC is increasing their's by 17% next year since the state has backed out of payment.
For GRU if you live in certain counties that border GA that you can petition to pay in-state tuition. And/or if you do choose to live in GA for the 4+ years of schooling then you can petition for a "Reclassification" after 12months, which let's you pay in-state as well.

I would choose GRU but I do feel like MUSC might offer better education only because of their technologies/ clinical program.
However, when I went to GRU I felt more "comfortable".

At lunch during my interview process the financial aid staff talked about tuition increases. Reasoning was that the state, which originally backed the new building had to pull out... SC like many other states are feeling the financial burden of the country :-(
