I interviewed 10/12 and am still waiting to hear back. I am a SC resident and my gpa was 3.3-4. Dat scores of AA/TS/P were 19/19/22. I have worked as a phlebotomist and lab tech at a doctor's office for a year but only have 30-40 shadowing hours in dental. So we'll see. The guy that got in Dec 1st on this forum was notified by UPS overnight mail that he just found on his doorstep. So be watching! Anyone know what percentage of the offers they make in Dec? I know it's a rolling process, but hopefully they don't wait until February to start letting most people know.
It's really fustrating when your GPA is the only thing holding you back. I smoked those DAT scores last year and wound up being one of the 2/3 SC residents who got turned down. It's nearly impossible to turn around an undergrad GPA once you've finished 8 semesters. Does anyone know if retaking courses replaces old grades or just averages with the original grade? It seems stupid to retake courses that aren't going to drastically change your gpa and once you have your degree no one outside of a professional school is going to care. I started grad school and have a 4.0 GPA but that doesn't seem to weigh very heavily in thier considerations.
oh and mine runs red.........roll tide!
So if we haven't gotten an interview yet is the door pretty much closed at this point? it kinda makes me mad that I interviewed last year and haven't heard anything this year after I did what they said I should do to please the committee.
