Muscle origins and insertions

Hi there,

If I have a general idea of where muscles begin and end (i.e. iliopsoas runs from the iliac crest/lumbar vertebrae to the femur), will that be enough for Step 1? Or do I have to know which specific lumbar vertebrae serve as the origins, for example?
